Mr Zvegelskiy, and two other crewmembers were ashore at Las Palmas whilst the 'King Fisher' was undergoing repairs. The two other crewmembers returned to the vessel separately, however Mr Zvegelskiy did not. The two other crewmembers stated that they had all consumed 'enough alcohol to get out of control', however they had lost their memories of what may have happened to Mr Zvegelskiy. Mr Zvegelskiy was found the following day with a serious cranial trauma and taken to hospital.
